Anyone that has lived with spinal cord injury as long as I have remembers the old red one piece catheters! I missed it by a bit but they wanted us to boil them and reuse them.
Them the government got out of the business and everything was ordered out of Saskatoon. Not much choice and that company was great at taking orders but never ever seen or talk to anyone who worked there .
Then in late nineties we started to get more choices until we were introduced to speady caths. Life changing product. Easier trips to public wash rooms that spread germs like crazy. Then more products came out that continued to expand the ability to cope with issues that arise as I grow older.
Through the advancement of these products it’s impossible for the individual to keep up with all different products from bladder care. Skin care which includes bandaids and ointments that allow wounds to heal much quicker. Then find out protein helps and you can get these products a Uro.
